How to turn on Weather on Flickaday

I've noticed there were a lot of search inquiries for "how do I turn on weather in Flickaday", so I figured I should make a quick note for everyone who wasn't already familiar.

Currently the weather option is only available in the United States. To enable this feature follow the simple steps below.

Under your dashboard enter:

Your country as: "USA" and fill in your vaild 5 digit zip code. That's it!

Under: Preferences: "Permissions & privacy settings", you can enable/disable the weather by toggling the "Show weather when available" option.

Enjoy!
Just want to give an update on what we are doing on the site currently. I have been tracking down and fixing bugs. There was one that happened when you deleted a picture it would delete more than just the day you chose. I think that's been fixed. I'm adding an interface for people
to browse their outtakes/deleted photos (sorry it's taking so long). I have been working on other projects lately (got to pay the bills so I can keep the flickaday servers running). I have been working on an iphone application as well. Below you can find a screenshot. This program will be available on the app store for $1.99 soon. Check out the screenshot...

Hope this convinces everyone that I'm still trying to devote time to flickaday users.
Updates to Twitter and Flickr Modules

In our efforts to continue creating features that you love to use, we made a few tweaks to our Twitter and Flickr modules.

1.) You'll notice that Twitter now posts a URL directly to your profile and picture back on Flickaday.com

2.)You can now choose a photo set to lump all of your Flickaday photos into, on Flickr. This way you don't need to clutter up your Flickr photo stream. You can keep everything nice and organized

Enjoy!
Twitter & Flickr Integration: Update

We've been getting great feedback on the latest Twitter and Flickr modules. Everyone is enjoying them thoroughly. In an effort to round off both the modules, we've made a couple updates. You can edit both of these in the modules section.

1.) You can now post your just your image, or just your mood to Twitter. Previously you had to post both or neither. Simply use the check boxes to toggle your preferences.

2.) You can now sync your entire past catalog of Flickaday photos to Flickr. Simply choose a date range that you want to send to flickr, click the sync button and you're finished.

Thanks for being great users!

Cheers,
The integration continues. You can now automatically send your photos that you take on Flickaday.com directly to your Flickr account.

All you need to do is visit the the Modules section under "My Account". Scroll down to the Flickr section and click on associate account. You'll be taken to Flickr.com where it will ask you if you want to associate your account. You'll need a Flickr account. If not you can create one here, for free.

Enjoy!
Flickaday Twitter Integration Explained

    Hi everyone,

Glad to see so many people using the new twitter module. Here's a little more detail about how the module works and what each of the options do.

First, you must have a Twitter account. If you don't have one, you can get one for free at twitter.com. Go to the modules section under "my account" on flickaday.com. Enter your TWITTER user name and password so that Flickaday can interact with your Twitter account.

There are 4 options you can utilize in the Flickaday/Twitter integration.
1.)Post mood and Image to Twitter. This will automatically send your mood as a tweet and set your profile picture in Twitter as your recent flickaday picture.

2.)Show Tweets in Flickaday Viewer. This will post any tweets from Twitter directly into your Flickaday widget. You can also set the default state of your Flickaday widget to show your tweets. You may find you like using just the Flickaday widget to manage both Flickaday and Twitter.

3.)Show Tweets in Profile. This will show all of your recent tweets in your Flickaday profile.

4.)Twitter Module Enabled. This will let you toggle the Flickaday/Twitter module on and off. THIS BOX MUST BE CHECKED FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE OPTIONS TO WORK.

Cheers,
Ross
Twitter Integration with Flickaday has Arrived!

Yes, it is here. We know a lot of you out there are twitter users. Today, Flickaday offers another great way for you to stay connected with everyone. Start by visiting the modules section under "my account".

By simply associating your Twitter account on Flickaday.com, every time you take a picture, your image is updated on your twitter account, and your mood is posted as a tweet.

Furthermore, you can show your recent Tweets in your Flickaday widget as well as your Flickaday profile.

We hope you enjoy this new feature, we certainly are. You can follow Jeff and myself on twitter at:
There have been a lot of people wondering if we are still doing anything with flickaday.com. The simple answer is that we are re-doing everything. Very shortly in the next month or so we will be releasing the next version of flickaday.com. We think everybody is going to love it and we are really excited.
You can view the featured broadcast below

One week from today, I'm off to beautiful Las Vegas Nevada. I'll be arriving July 18th 11PM PST and leaving Monday July 23rd. I'm going with two of my good friends and visiting another. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good Flickaday pics with some Vegas glitz in the background.
No it's not just a tongue twister, it's the newest functionality on Flickaday. Now when you are browsing the People section, you can enter an email address of a friend and see how his/her Flick is coming along. While you're at it, you can snag your friend's embed code and display a bunch of Flicks on your web site, blog, myspace page etc.

Happy Hunting,
We've been getting a lot of requests for a facebook app that people can use with Flickaday. This is one of our top priorities in rolling out new functionality and have already started preliminary planning for the app.

I was curious if we could get some user feedback on how you would want the facebook app to work.

We have our own ideas, but we want yours. All are encouraged to comment.
Flickaday is officially on the map in Canada. It's always nice when an entire country takes note of you. This morning, Flickaday was featured on the front page of Canada.com.

I'd like to be the first to say hello to our neighbors up north.

One correction to the article: The article states that you can't browse other people's flicks. This is not true. You can browse all public flicks under the People section. You just need to be logged in. Sorry no lurkers allowed yet.
